I loved all of the natural stone used in the construction, which includes flooring, walkways and walls. We could see the sea from our balcony. It is a family run hotel/resort with a lovely pool, bar and restaurant that serves Greek classic dishes that are lovingly prepared by the owners. Maria in reception was helpful offering many suggestions for things to do, and was very communicative prior to our stay and offered to arrange for transportation from the port to the hotel. Also, the room was immaculate and the towels were changed daily. I wish I’d planned for a longer stay but we already made plans to visit other islands.

Location was perfect - Short stroll into Fira. Restaurant at the end of the road sells authentic Greek food - simply delicious.
Deluxe double room was fantastic, prefect size, we had pool view - simply beautiful.
Staff always happy to help with a smile.
Everything within close distance - we hired a buggy - lots of choice and very cheap. Public transport is regular. Bus stop very close to the hotel, end of the road - 2 minute walk.
Would i visit Santorini again? Yes, would I stay at Albatros again? Without hesitation.

We recently stayed at Onyx Suites in Santorini and had an amazing experience. The hotel is modern, comfortable, and close to the airport, making it super convenient. The breakfast was excellent, with a nice mix of local and regular foods. The best part was the staff, they were incredibly kind and truly embodied hospitality. They helped us rent a car, gave us tons of great recommendations for restaurants and activities, and were always there when we needed them. This family-run hotel is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Santorini! Tom

Simple but good restaurants nearby, good price. Mini markets, cafeteria etc. Tour in the Santorini is highly recommended also, nice places to visit, and return by yourself. Akrotiri is special.

The owner was liar, he/she claimed guest stole their lamp & batteries. Please check their website, over 100 photos, none of them had lamp in the picture . I had NO CLUE, why did them make this kind claim?
They liar & made up things, claimed that guest asked them to drive guest around island, I hired taxi every day & I kept all the receipts to prove how much I paid for the taxi every day.
I have trouble to understand them. For sure, they ARE NOT honest people, NOT honest business.

Karterados is such a beautiful and peaceful area, not far from busy Fira town centre.
We stayed at beautiful Lilium Homes and it was a perfect place to get away from the all the noisy crowds. So tranquil!

This was our first visit to Santorini and staying at a village villa was a first-of-its-kind experience for us. We were picked up by the host himself at late night from the Airport. The room size was quite good and we did not feel cramped. The room has a beautiful view of the Agean Sea and a mesmerizing sunrise view. it is just a few minute's walk to black beach and a couple of traditional restaurants. The main city is about 10 minutes drive and the host arranged a taxi for us to go to the capital city.
Treated upon arrival with an orange juice, this hotel is family run and very beautiful, they attend to your needs and are very welcoming, we sat and had a drink with the owner he makes sure everyone is okay and feel welcome (like a part of the family) they have a beautiful pool which is great to relax around, the rooms are clean and COVID secure with a huge balcony. If I visit santorini in the future I will be staying here again. The location is also good, walking distance to Fira and a 20min bus to oia.
Trudi was a really good host, she was welcoming and when we arrived she told us how it works in Santorini and suggested us what to do and what to see. She also organized all our transfer. The location was really good it's near the bus station and 20 min walk to Thira. The swimming pool is also nice not too big but clean and deep. There's a kettle and mini frigerator so it was really helpful for our stay, bakery and supermarket are also near the hotel! We had a perfect stay in the hotel! 🙃
This is a fantastic relaxing place to stay on Santorini. It is on some back streets so it is so quiet away from the noise of the street. It has a nice view of the ocean and the hotel layout is fantastic. So many of the rooms feel very private and secluded even though you're in a hotel complex. There are two pools and every day we had a pool to ourselves for more than an hour in the afternoon. It was truly a relaxing place to stay. On top of that the staff is really fantastic
The apartment has everything you need for a few days in Santorini. It was super clean and everything was new. Nikos was very helpful before and during our stay. He helped us with the rental of an ATV and the transfer from the airport and to the port. The location in Karterados is in a small local village where you can find here restaurants, bakery and supermarket. It’s very close to Fira.
I recommend everybody to stay here. You won’t regret it!
the hotel was located very close to public transport and the city centre of Fira. The reception and rooms were stunning and very clean. we were welcomed by the owners even though we arrived late in the evening. they were very helpful (even gave us each a litre bottle of water) and gave us all the advice we needed to find our way around Santorini. As a group of 6 young woman, we felt very safe and comfortable and would definitely recommend.
The property is located about 30mins walk from Fira, so you can visit the town of Fira and bus to Oia, Kamari, Perissia, etc. There are many options for food in Karterados (less than 10min walk). Overall, if you want a relaxing place away from the crazy busy tourist chaos of Oia and Fira at a more reasonable rate, stay here, but I would highly recommend renting a car or ATV unless you are up for walking to everything.
Great host! George was so professional and attentive, he organised all out taxis and transfers and gave great suggestions for restaurants and boat tour. Thank you George for making our stay smooth and unforgettable!!
Great property, exceptionally clean grounds and villas, so peaceful and only 10 mins walk to Fira centre.
We would highly recommend this place to stay in Santorini. You won't be disappointed!
Incredible spot for sunrise! The room was nicely decorated, clean and the shower pressure was amazing. Staff were very accomodating and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special by providing us with Santorini wine and a Greek breakfast. The hotel is next to a bus stop so you can make a quick trip to Thira. Alternatively, a 20-25minute walk slightly uphill will get you to Thira.
A lovely family run hotel. Close to a bakery where you can find freshly baked items and coffee for breakfast. Plus there is a very well stocked supermarket close by as well. It is a 15 minute walk to Thira. The bus station is also very close and buses can take you to all the beaches, places of interest , the airport and port when you leave.
Everything was perfect! The apartment was very big and carefully furnished to spend a few days in Santorini. It is very well located next to the town of Karterados, you can go for a short walk to Thira or take the car and enjoy Monolithos beach. If we ever go to the island again, we will definitely choose Bonsai.
the staff went above and beyond to help with trips, getting to know the island etc and the pool and hotel was immaculate, our room was cleaned with fresh towels and sheets every day and the location was great there’s a bus stop right outside and only a 20 min walk in to Fira. Excellent value for money!!
Nice little hotel with great rooms. The rooms are a bit small but it's ok as it is very cheap compared to other places in Santorini.
The staffs are very helpful too. They helped us to arrange a lot of things, which saved us a lot of time.
Nice and quiet location behind a church in the old part of Karterados.
10 min by feet to the bus stop, 20 min to the center of Fira.
Price for Santorini is okay. Unpretentious pension which is okay for few days.
Staff was nice.
We loved our stay at Pension Stella! George was a great host and very informative about things to do around the island. The hotel was super clean and in great condition. The location was perfect and very close to Fira.
Loved our stay at Hotel Lodos. Short walk into town and there are heaps of food options around the hotel. The pool was also lovely. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. Will be back next time we’re in Santorini!
Loved our stay at Cyclades Hotel. The breakfast was delicious and the location was great-very close to the bus stop. The space was clean and comfortable, and had a great view!
