Nice large apartment in a good location. Everything you need in the hotel complex. Large beautiful windows, although the construction on the street below affected the view a little, that was not the accomodation's fault. Bed was super comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Large bathroom was nice

The Rees Hotel & Luxury Apartments, hotel in Queenstown

The Rees Hotel & Apartments offers lakefront accommodations with private balconies and spectacular views. It features free WiFi and a free shuttle to the center of Queenstown.

Everything was exceptional! I had several things come up during this trip which required extra effort from the hotel staff-- from needing a firmer bed for a muscle spasm in my back to a special diet needed while staying there--they stepped up to meet my needs every time! It was my first time traveling alone half way across the world, but the Rees Hotel Staff created a sense of trust that I would have all I needed from them. The cleanliness of the laundry room as well as my room was also so appreciated! I used the hotel shuttle every day I was there and they were very dependable and punctual. This hotel made my trip to Queenstown a memorable one. THANK YOU to Fuka and the other exceptional staff members I had the pleasure to interact with!!!

Welcome to New Zealand’s adrenalin capital! There are a mountain of possibilities for your pleasure including bungee jumping, rafting, jet boating and skydiving. Overlooking the calm waters of Lake Wakatipu and surrounded by peaceful mountains retreats like The Remarkables and Walter Peak, Queenstown is also party town with many cosy bars and cafés.

The best panoramas can be enjoyed when you take the Skyline Gondola up to Bob’s Peak on Ben Lamond. Breathe in the fresh alpine air when you walk or mountain bike the Queenstown Trail to nearby Arrowtown.

It’s not time to relax yet as there is still skiing to be done in the picturesque ski fields of Coronet Peak or The Remarkables and canyoning at Routeburn Canyon. Hang gliding, paragliding and abseiling are all here too!

Bring yourself back to ground level with a picnic lunch while enjoying the pristine wilderness that makes this city so eye-catching. If more intimate surrounds are your domain, then a string of high-class restaurants are available in the city centre.

I spent quite a bit of time around downtown Queenstown.

I spent quite a bit of time around downtown Queenstown. It was very easy to get around and the people were quite friendly and helpful. I ate at the "Boardwalk" and "Flame" -- both on the wharf side. I was disappointed in the food at the Flame (pork ribs), and also that the waiters didn't explain how large a portion I was ordering. In many NZ restaurants, you have a choice of ordering a "Main" or "Entree" portion. I enjoyed eating at the Boardwalk more. The scenery is exceptionally beautiful there and the energy of the town was incredible to experience! I'm so glad I decided to visit Queenstown!

This was our fourth visit to Queenstown from Auckland, and...

This was our fourth visit to Queenstown from Auckland, and the 3rd time staying at the Heritage Hotel. Because there are numerous road works around the town at present( May 2024) and also having to pay for parking everywhere we found it easier to go in by bus and leave the car at the Hotel which gave us more freedom to walk, sight see and get around. There are an abundance of eateries around Queenstown. Pog Mahones Irish pub. Eriks fish and chips food truck, and of course the famous Fers burgers. A short drive by car or on the bus is the the new shopping centre at Franklin not far from the airport , which takes around 15 mins, where we had lunch at Billy`s cafe, and also lunch at the Coffee club. In Queenstown, we took the Lunch time cruise on the Earnslaw steamboat up to Walter peak sheep station. Beautiful lunch and scenery. walked around the Botanical gardens. Its a lovely drive by car or bus to Arrowtown you can go one way and return via lake Hayes. While there pop into the Fork and tap pub.

The traffic management situation is problematic.

The traffic management situation is problematic. Queenstown seems to be overloved causing traffic issues which are exacerbated by road works all over the place. Don’t expect to solve the parking riddle easily. Apart from these issues Queenstown is great place with great scenery and a good vibe.

    Absolutely stunning place.

Absolutely stunning place. Scenery is amazing, some lovely walks in and around the town centre. We didn't have a car and didn't need one at all, so easy to walk around. Well maintained beautiful town and lakefront. Lots of great places for food and not all expensive. The gondola is a must, spectacular views. Also our trip on the TSS Earnslaw another must-do in our opinion! We were not there for adventure activities and you don't need to have lots of stuff booked as there is more to the place than that! Highly recommend Remarkable Scenic Tours also as a great way to see the area. This was our first time visiting Queenstown and certainly wont be the last!

Beautiful landscapes and scenery, lot of places to try different foods and activities to do and Queenstown is a stones throw away from the outer towns e.g. Cardrona, Wanaka, Cromwell, Arrowtown which we visited. Definitely worth a visit and the drive and scenary were spectacular. We went on two jet boat rides, to the Onsen Spas and up the Gondala for dinner at the Stratosphere Restaurant (food was great but it was very busy). Had our first Ferg Burger which was delish!! Overall, a great trip!!

We loved our 4 day trip to Queenstown, and the surrounding region, had a wander around Arrowtown, lunch at the Fork & Tap Pub was squid and cheeseboard was it was delicious. We caught up with family that have recently moved to Cromwell and loved seeing this area. We enjoyed a drive through to Wanaka around the stunning homes being built there, in the evening we enjoyed dinner at Blu Kanu, we had the chef selection and it was exceptional, we are still talking about it. We had lunch at Ayrburn at the Manure Shed (seriously) we enjoyed the wine tasting and another lovely cheeseboard, not as good as Fork & Tap, but still excellent and the surroundings are out of this world gorgeous We enjoyed a drive through to Glenorchy, we also had dinner at Botswana Butchery which always delvers an amazing level of service. A truely relaxing break away from Auckland. Even though our accommodation was not perfect, we were not there much and loved every minute in Queenstown.

These apartments are so well located. You can leave you car and walk easily into the centre of Queenstown, but they are far enough away from the noise of the town/nightlife. The apartment is more like a townhouse with bedrooms on upper and lower levels and a very spacious kitchen and separate living area. The apartment was very clean and had lots of facilities, including bathrooms for every bedroom. There is also a nice balcony at the back of the apartment looking over a little stream and up to the mountains.

The location was great, so close to the main centre of Queenstown, being a few minutes walk. I have stayed at The Glebe a few times including at the Penthouse many years ago and other units within the Glebe. It is so handy to everything and the one bedroom apartment I stayed in this time was clean and comfortable. I was cold with only one small heater but once I mentioned it to Reception they obliged with two more heaters so it was nice and toasty! Being on my own, it seemed a very safe space.

The hotel is well designed and maintained. Beautiful property on the lake in Queenstown. A bit away from the centre, but for us it was a plus - very peaceful, and having a car helped a lot. There is a good walking trail along the shore . Our room was spacious and comfortable. We really enjoyed the indoor heated pool and sauna. We've stayed here a few times, but this was our first time in the Penthouse. You can't find anything cheaper in Queenstown CBD, and it's nicer than all the other backpackers I've stayed in. The pods provide lots of privacy. The Penthouse had its own deck and kitchen, which was ideal for a wine + cheese as the sun went down over the lake. We'll be back
